He was admired then as he is today for his unsentimental evocations of personalities and social mores. While he belonged to no theoretical school, he is sometimes classified as Post-Impressionist. His greatest contemporary impact was his series of 30 posters (1891-1901), Related Paintings of Henri De Toulouse-Lautrec :. | Alone | Reitknecht mit zwei Pferden | La Goulue arriving at the Moulin Rouge | Weiblicher akt vor der Spiegel | La Goulue,Dance at the Moulin Rouge | Related Artists:

was a Florentine painter. He joined the Camaldolese monastery of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Florence in 1391, but he left monastic life before making a lifetime commitment. Despite this fact, he has traditionally been called "Lawrence the Monk." His work shows the influence of the International Gothic style of the late fourteenth century, as well as that of the Sienese school.
